Did Jesus Matter?

How easy it is for our churches to veer from bodies of believers, to corporate entities.  Members needs are no longer the focus of ministry, discipleship, and training.

The corporate model likes programs, numbers, like counting members, and status quo.  This was true in Jesus’ day.  Those who rejected him most strongly were the Jewish leaders of the day.  Being accepted in the tight group was more important that embracing Jesus as a miracle worker.

The parents of the man born blind were afraid to give credit to Jesus, FOR THEIR SON’S SIGHT, than be spurned by the Jewish in crowd.

All Scripture is given by God to teach us.  This can be the drift of the church. It has been said, it’s time to unchurch the church.  Get us out where the need is, where people need Jesus.
