Being faced with a new opportunity, we rightly determine whether we accept, reject, or pause.
One appropriate question is ‘Can I add this to my calendar, and do it well?’ Must something else be removed? And then there’s that elusive goal of having margin. Margin for the unexpected. Truth is, we can expect them, just not ‘what’ and ‘when.’
If there is cost involved, can my budget absorb this given my other commitments and generosity?
While hurry seldom results in clear thinking, pausing, and waiting for God to show us clearly is a good option.
Might we make a wrong choice? Scripture is full of those. Philippians 3: 15 & 16 God intervenes and corrects us. Be thankful for new opportunities. Growing in ministry and faith.
