College students

Thousands of college students have survived and perspired through their first weeks on college campuses. In our family’s experience, I think just outfitting dorm rooms should have lifted our slow economy.  Many are equipped with amazing technology, clothing gear, and enthusiasm.  Greater than academic challenges will be spiritual and character challenges.  With a new peer group, without the eyes and ears of family and old friends, they’ll test what they believe in a different environment.  Will their actions stem from outer restraint?  Most of those are lifted.  Will inner convictions rule when peer pressure and peer acceptance shout that the rules in the game of life have shifted.

What can you do?  Pray for those you know and even those you don’t.  And in every way possible, stay connected.
