Chameleon

Surprise, surprise, today isn’t yesterday. What’s new in your life today? Starting a new job, a new relationship, a new stage of being alone?
I envy the chameleon. This little constructed creature by God blended into the realities of life in one environment, and then the chameleon’s world changes. Seemingly without a brain-initiated decision, the chameleon changes color to fit in. Safe, blended into new realities; all is well.
We have resources far above what chameleons have. We have a mind to reason, a conscience to guide us, and most importantly, the ability to communicate with our Creator. Maybe it’s time to get to a quiet place and talk with Him. The necessity of our new beginning is not a surprise to Him. His answers to our questions may not be immediate, but His comfort will be.
