An Anniversary
January 25, 2024
Today would be my fifty sixth wedding anniversary. My twelfth alone. I’m choosing to focus on glad memories, blessings beyond measure. Why did God bless us with health, with jobs that offered some satisfactions, with children diverse, challenging, and still lovable? No answers. Bob knows now. He’s with Jesus and has received comfort beyond any bump in life. Knowledge in eternity that life was worth it.
That vow of love till death does us part, not true. I’m still loving him today. Death is not a divide, simply a transition.
More important than a wedding anniversary is the date you decided to be a Christ follower. God our creator, Jesus his son, Jesus our savior. Death will not be a divide, simply a transition. Let’s anticipate that transition, when we’ll be united, an anniversary to celebrate.
