Abandoning Jesus

Many people dabble with getting acquainted with Jesus. They like some of His message, some of His people, some of the perks of being around Him. If you are depending on the prosperity you think he’ll bring, you’ll abandon him in hard times. John 6 tells of people abandoning Him from popular crowd leader and feeder to only his small band of disciples. They questioned him as well; he questioned back. “Will you leave me too?” Their honest answer, “To whom shall we go?” No other leader came to life after death. No other leader said love your enemies. Don’t kill those who don’t think like us. No other made the claim of the Heaven He described.
Thinking of abandoning Jesus? To whom will you go? There is no one like him. And He has promised never to leave us even in our darkest times.
