We celebrate the birth of our Nation today. We’re still unique, still a democracy. Though stressed and struggling, we are still the strongest nation on earth. More importantly, our Nation’s foundation is uniquely aligned with God and His guidelines. This has brought us greater freedoms and blessings than one can imagine–unless you travel this globe broadly, as I have.
Freedom is not free. It has been earned by our military, their excellence and their blood. I have spoken with widows. One stated that her husband became a Christ follower in Viet Nam. He came home safely. Many did not.
Pause from your celebrations today and thank someone who is either in uniform, or has been. They have been a part of purchasing our freedom.
