Bob’s Leadership – Salt and Light

As Christ followers, we are observed by others. Scripture says we should be like a shining city on a hill. We are to be salt, preservatives in our culture, yet there is conflict in us, our families, our Christian organizations, our churches. This was true of the early church in Acts.
One leader addressed how he attempted to lead a Christian organization. ‘When you see conflict arising either between individuals or in performance, don’t put off dealing with it. You do a disservice to the organization and the individual to let something like that proceed unchecked.’
This age of instant communication, quotes, pictures, and tweets, cover-ups dwindle, but publicity should not be a motivator of addressing conflict and wrong doing. Speak truth, pursue excellence. We are salt and light.
