Passion Renewed 2

When hard things happen and we need hope and encouragement to move forward, sometimes we’re held back by unhealthy people around us. They see our loss through their lens of negativity. They ask probing personal questions about areas that are our private information. Some are merely curious; others thrive on bad news.
Here are a few handy phrases. “That’s not information I’m sharing.” “It’s not my story to tell.” An even more bold response, and I’ve used it, is “You asking that question makes me sad. I’m not discussing that.”
Healing time sometimes means no contact with that unhealthy person. Do they need spiritual encouragement? Probably. God can provide that through others at this time. You have healthy healing to do. God has good future plans for you. Jeremiah 29:11. Hope, not sadness.
