Wisdom From Tozier

We do well to listen to Spiritual leaders who have gone before us. They were imperfect, we don’t idolize them. Yet their years of study, experience in attempting to lead God honoring lives, can give us perspective, even inspiration. Consider these words of W. Tozier “It is doubtful that God can use a person greatly if he has not wounded him deeply.”
Hard to hear. God wounding his people? Looking back on my life, seeing my husbands wicked illness, becoming a widow has given me greater compassion. I must lean into God, my Maker, creator, new husband in ways I never did before. Incarceration of a loved one? II Corinthians 1: 3.4 I can now comfort others in ways impossible before.
