Scripture tells us the real-life stories of women in Scripture who experienced extreme changes in their lives. Mary Magdalene was such a woman. Believed to be a prostitute and once possessed of 7 demons, she chose Jesus as her Savior and expressed her love in extreme ways. She anointed him with her jar of expensive perfume. Followed him on dusty roads learning from his teaching. Stood with his mother at the foot of the cross. Mark 16: 1
She was the first person He appeared to after his resurrection. Mark 16: 9 She told his followers. They didn’t believe her!
Extreme: sinned much, was forgiven much, and loved much. Here’s our lesson. Our past does not define us. God’s blessing is unique for each of us.
