Thought, Act, Habit

What do you think about, my friend?  A thought becomes an act.  An act becomes a habit.  No wonder what we think about is important.  We can be mentally absorbed with worry, wrong things, wrong passions, a judgmental and critical spirit.  Those thoughts birth acts and can lead to habits.

What to do?  Philippians 4: 8   Finally, my brothers and sisters, always think about what is true. Think about what is noble, right and pure. Think about what is lovely and worthy of respect. If anything is excellent or worthy of praise, think about those kinds of things.  Result: acts that will be noble, right, and pure.  Beautiful acts worthy of respect.  Excellent acts that can be rightly praised.

Repeat those acts and they become habits.  Habits for which we will hear, “Well done.”
