Blooper To Blessing

My intentions were good. Neighbor children had a Kool-Aid stand. I decided to buy Kool-Aid for a neighbor in a wheelchair and his wife. The children were thrilled to help me deliver this treat. Opps, unruly dogs almost knocked us over. We were barely able to deliver the treats and to deafening barking, rushed away. Opps, I thought. Bad idea.
Later, this neighbor who had been in bed that day stated, “You made my day!” He was in pain and discouraged and could not come to the door. It was not the Kool-Aid and cookies, but our showing up that mattered. We remembered Him. Good intentions paid off. Our simple act mattered on a day he needed us.
God can change our bloopers to blessings. Romans 8: 28 says so. He knows other’s needs, and our hearts.
