Checking In With God

How often do you check your email? Facebook? Investment portfolio? Checking in and staying connected is addicting, habit forming, and shows our priorities.
Recently as I was glued to my computer checking up on projects, friends, and my finances, God nudged me gently with this question. “Am I as important to you as all those?” I thought of my interrupted time in His Word this morning.
I’ve said it before in New Beginnings and now I needed to say it to myself. Is my face in His Book more than on Facebook? Does my financial snapshot honor Him?
These network tools are awesome and help us serve Him. But, as always, a good thing can crowd out the best thing. And that is checking in with God, early and often.
