M In times of financial turmoil, we look at inflation as a negative on families. And it is, in many ways. But Scripture often refers to the benefits of hardships. When some expenses rise, pay attention.
V We have options. Our travels to many countries saw families healthy with access to only a few foods compared to our country. In one village, in addition to the staple of corn, was boiled pumpkin leaves. Here, we throw those away. Our ‘must haves’ become unnecessary. Less expensive substitutes will work.
M We’re not advocating eating pumpkin leaves. I have and I prefer spinach. We are saying, learn. We have options. Rice, beans, oatmeal prepared in our kitchen, these are healthy and cost less.
