Tax perspective

M Taxes are always a sticky subject. This month we collect our documents to file our tax reports. Our attitude is just as important to God as our action.
V Let’s review biblical principles. Luke 20: 20–25 Jesus is questioned about whether people should pay taxes to Caesar, an emperor who ruled corruptly defying the faith jews followed. 24 “Show me a coin. Whose image and inscription are on it?”
“Caesar’s,” his audience replied. 25 He said to them, “Then give back to Caesar what is Caesar’s, and to God what is God’s.” Christ followers pay taxes legally but not unnecessarily.
M Challenge: Hold our government accountable, vote and pray, and pay taxes with obedience.
