M One of our favorite Larry Burkett sayings is ‘Do your giving while you’re living so you’re knowing where its going. Mary, the sister of Martha and Lazarus did just that.
V She anointed the Lord with perfume and dried his feet with her hair. John 11: 2. She repeated this again shortly before his death. John 12: 3. Each jar was worth a years wages, possibly her life savings. Judas the treasurer criticized her saying that valuable gift would do much for the poor. Jesus knew his heart, that he wanted to steal from that gift.
M Jesus knew Mary’s heart. She loved Him and gave Jesus all that she had.
