I’m Miriam Neff-with STARTING OVER FINANCIALLY,-and I’m Valerie Neff Hogan, and we’re here to talk about money
M As Christ followers, we know that we own nothing, its all God’s on loan to us. While Scripture talks of giving money, we are reminded generosity can also be care, compassion, and service. God invests in us for the blessing of others.
V Its easy to go quickly from generosity of giving money to these other methods. But Scripture speaks of giving money more than those other ‘valuables.’ I’m reminded that money is often what we cling to most tightly. To give money reveals our heart. Is it really all His? II Corinthians 8: 8, Paul states this as a test of the genuineness of our love.
M Our salvation changes our hearts about material things.
