M Are you in a time of transition financially, even crisis? People notice and not all of them are friends. They might have seemed so in the past. But that word friend in the original biblical languages has one meaning more like a shark than a friend.
Peitho” to persuade, influence Proverbs 14:20 This is a user ‘friend.’ They’re with you as long as they benefit. When you have nothing to offer them, or refuse to be used, they’re gone. They prey on an affinity hook. ‘ We’re in the same organization, neighborhood, even church. Trust me!’
V Don’t sign their document, return their phone call, or meet with them alone. Your true friend wants what’s best for you. And God will be your best advisor and friend.
