The work creation connection

M Studying Proverbs, I puzzled at the emphasis on work. Its a handbook on wisdom. So why talk of work? Two reasons:
God created us to work, have dominion over the earth Genesis 1: 26. God works. Genesis 2:2. We’re created in His image 1: 27 so we work.
Everything that God intends for good, our world distorts or ruins. Work is annoying, let someone else do it. Work for selfish reasons, exploit others.
V Proverbs lists work temptations. Laziness, taking advantage of the poor, working for selfish gain. Even our bodies benefit from work. We thrive on activity, productivity, satisfaction, accomplishment, whether a completed IT project, or cared for living space. Our work is a positive way we can reflect God’s image.
