M What should a household budget look like? Percentages for categories give a glimpse. The Bible does not have that wheel divided up by areas. Housing 25—35 percent. Good idea is Giving 10—15 percent. One family gave 90 percent! They had a God blessed business and a heart for God.
V Use those recommended budget percentages as ideas. Regional housing costs vary. Not all go by a 5—10% designation for recreation. Recommendations are helpful when buying a home, or renting space. Include repair, upkeep, its more than just that mortgage. Same with cars. You think you can afford that monthly payment. But what about regular repairs, insurance, and upkeep? Not optional.
