Valentines Day
February 13, 2019
Valentines day is not a significant day for many. Another work day, no one special in your life, just another day. Pause a moment and think of any you know whose spouse has passed in the last few years. The day still matters to them. Widows miss a hug, or card, special dinner out, even flowers. Widowers miss companionship, that person with whom they shared affection. No marriage is perfect, all memories aren’t sparkly.
Yet, the day can be poignant. One pastors wife sends me a Valentine card on that day. I appreciate her thoughtfulness.
Consider sending a text, brief note or email. You can simply say, I’m thinking about you, you are special to God, I remember and I trust you have a good day.
