Lessons from grain

I’m Miriam  Neff-with STARTING OVER FINANCIALLY,-and I’m Valerie Neff Hogan, and we’re here to talk about money

M  A farmer in Luke 12 was so successful, his harvest was greater than his capacity to store it.  Growing up on a farm, that’s a good problem to have.  This farmer was a fool and decided to build bigger barns.  Not a foolish choice.

V  But his purpose was to hoard it for himself for years to come to eat, drink and be merry.  That was foolish.  Scripture emphasizes that we don’t know what tomorrow will bring.  Barns can burn.  Life is fragile.

The fool did not live through the night.  Others were the benefactors of God providing soil, rain, sunshine and a big crop.

M  Give thanks for your good harvest, whether products, sales, or portfolio.  Ask God  to direct his blessing.  Ask Him what he would like to do with the abundance He provided.
