M Scams and fraud are increasing each day. How can you keep informed and protect yourself and loved ones? You may be especially vulnerable if you are in a large life transition and are grieving.
V Scams and fraud are constantly changing. Fraudsters are quite motivated to be innovative. One great resource to combat this is the Federal Trade Commission’s website FTC.gov. Several of the recent scams – such as emails posing as your bank, Paypal account, Amazon account etc ask you to click a link and change your password and update your information. Never do that. You can separately log into those accounts (not from email) and see if they need updating.
