Facts

Given fake news acquisitions and disgruntled, disagreeing groups, its hard to get facts these days. John Adams stated, ““Facts are stubborn things; and whatever may be our wishes, our inclinations, or the dictates of our passion, they cannot alter the state of facts and evidence.”
Such a simple statement. But human perceptions skew how we receive facts. Reading of the stoning of Stephen in Acts 6, his accusers listened to his accurate account of their people’s history. He recounted Jesus miracles, which his accusers had seen with their own eyes. Yet they decided to stone him to death. The facts of Stephen remain. God welcomed him into glory.
Watching accusers watched with eyes blinded by their own self interests.
Caution: ask God to give us eyes to see as He sees.
