Spiritually depleted 2

Is your soul weary? You can’t give out because you are spiritually depleted. Life is demanding. I recall Edith Schaeffer’s analogy of being willing to give bread to a neighbor who asks. She hosted hundreds in Libri, the residence she and Francis opened for others needing spiritual healing and growth. She cooked, laundered, and blessed until she was depleted. I remember her sharing her example: if a neighbor asked for bread she was so depleted she would have only been able to open her window and drop flour on their head, then eggs, and milk. She had no energy to make bread.
Close the window. Ask God to restore you. Jesus went to the wilderness to renew his strength. He left hungry sick folks. So his father could renew him.
