I’m Miriam  Neff-with STARTING OVER FINANCIALLY,-and I’m Valerie Neff Hogan, and we’re here to talk about money

 

M Some folks wish to be generous, but don’t think they can.  It is very hard to focus on others and look to help meet their needs when you are drowning in your own financial issues.

 

V  Ultimately it is helpful to get your house in order, then to gather extra to share.

I have heard some say they just don’t need much and don’t want to be materialistic, so they don’t need to work that hard.  But someone needs to work hard and have a surplus for those that truly suffer hardship and tragedy and need a helping hand from others.

 

The Apostle Paul cared for those in need.  In II Corinthians 9 he advised those giving to set funds aside,  to plan to give.
