Good Grief 1

“You have to keep busy!”  How often do we hear that when we’re struggling through a time of loss.  There’s a bit of wisdom there.  Mulling the past and wallowing in regrets are of no value.  But charging ahead can be dangerous too.

We may miss the lessons we can learn through our loss.

We can deny our bodies the necessary rest and health for healing.

We can attempt to control the future rather than asking God, “What’s next?”

We can make rash decisions connecting with the wrong people, wasting time and energy on diversions that don’t match our values.

Solution:  Allow yourself time for reflection.  Let a trusted friend in on your life hold you accountable.  Most importantly, ask God for His wisdom for each day.
