Favorite Scents

Folks have their favorite scents, perfume or cologne. When we catch that scent we think of them, remember what’s special about that person. I’ve saved the after shave my husband used, but it’s lost its scent. His life legacy was even more memorable, is as fresh as ever influencing me daily, and a host of others. My son reminisced that Dad was a decision maker, hard worker, and consistent in what he stood for.
We pick carefully the scent we will wear. And that’s temporary. Our ‘life touch’ on others is more profound and lasting. We will all leave a legacy, one that is dishonorable, or one that lifts, empowers, and blesses people.
I’m praying that my ‘life touch,’ my legacy will be a pleasant scent today.
