Double Minded

Reading of Nathanael in John 1: 47 his commendation by Jesus is one we should all desire. When Jesus saw Nathanael approaching, he said of him, “Here truly is an Israelite in whom there is no deceit.’ Nathanael was not double minded, torn between serving God and self.
Deceit is rampant in our culture, every institution, every household, every heart. Its human. But it need not reign. Compromise and complacency are easy.
The only true antidote is the light of Jesus. Transparency, accountability. John 1: 5 promises us that His light will overcome darkness. We are in desperate need of His light today. But we must intentionally choose light. Needed more today than ever.
