Celebrity pastors

I long for heaven and to be a part of Jesus’ bride, the perfect church. On earth, we’re tarnished and there’s lots to be ashamed of.
First know that I have no right to be called Jesus’ bride. Tarnished for sure, but forgiven. I want to be a part of a thriving church here on earth. Some appear to be, then are not.
Our culture has cultivated celebrity status pastors. They are seen as the success factor of the church. We are setting them up to becoming narcissistic. Some forget that God gifted them as orators, or other gifts. God’s gifts, not their personal awesomeness.
Bold accountability partners are a necessity. People who know God are added to his church by God, not celebrity pastors.
